Gentle Yoga and Distance Reiki for Wellbeing
Join Maria Duda, LCSW, 200-RYT and Melissa Barrios, LCSW, ICDVP, Reiki Practitioner, as they guide you through a gentle, replenishing and healing hour of yoga and reiki. All levels are welcome and no experience is needed.
Our emotional cups have been emptied and we all need to take some time to refill and restore. As winter arrives, obligations may feel overwhelming and the pandemic continues to impact us, we can be left feeling drained, isolated, and disconnected from our support systems and even our own bodies. Let’s give ourselves the gift of slowing down, paying attention, and reconnecting with ourselves, our spirits and our bodies.
Gentle Yoga allows us to relearn the art of relaxation while developing the skills and abilities to self-soothe. It enhances our healing capacity through helping us regulate the stress response and re-balance the nervous system. Moon Salutations are cooling and quieting. They are used to calm the mind and draw your awareness inward.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, unblock chakras, and promote well-being. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Distance Reiki sessions are just as effective as in-person treatments, allowing the receiver to heal from afar.
