This workshop will explore some of the history of the LGBTQ+ community as it pertains to mental health, as well as introduce the PRIDE model of therapeutic support.
Objectives include:
- Understand how the LGBTQ+ community has been impacted over the history of mental health treatment
- Define operational terms essential to working with LGBTQ+ clients
- Use the PRIDE framework to support LGBTQ+ clients in therapy
