Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Maddie (she/hers) and I’m a Licensed Social Worker who works with teens and adults. In therapy, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and build insight into the patterns that may be keeping you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. I’ll meet you where you are, help you reconnect with your strengths, support you in developing helpful tools, and celebrate as you accomplish your goals. I am a cis-gendered, caucasian woman.

I love working with:

  • Teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, confidence, and major life transitions
  • Adults balancing relationships, responsibilities, stress, and the everyday demands of life
  • Individuals experiencing grief, relationship challenges, uncertainty, or overwhelming emotions
  • Those struggling with motivation, daily functioning, or mental health symptoms that feel difficult to manage
  • People seeking healthier coping strategies, greater self-understanding, and a more authentic, fulfilling life

Some of my favorite approaches include:

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, flexible, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual I work with. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic theory to help clients better understand themselves, navigate emotions, and build practical tools for daily life. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I weave together different techniques and perspectives based on what feels most supportive, effective, and aligned with your goals.

HOW I HELP

My goal as a therapist is to support clients in feeling more empowered to show up as their most authentic selves, even when life feels heavy or complicated. The stressors and demands of daily life can make that difficult, and it’s understandable to need a space where some of that weight can be set down. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel accepted, less burdened, and able to be honest about what they’re experiencing. Together, we work on building insight, strengthening coping strategies, and developing tools that feel practical and sustainable in everyday life. Over time, the hope is to create more balance, clarity, and self-compassion.

Beliefs section

I believe the driving force behind change is you! We often have more strength than we give ourselves credit for, and I’m here to help you recognize and build on that ability to create meaningful change. I also believe that doing your best can look different from day to day, and even small steps forward still count as progress.

What it’s like in a session with me

Therapy with me is designed to feel genuine, comfortable, and welcoming so you can settle in as your authentic self from the very beginning. Whether you’re curled up with a coffee, wrapped in a blanket, or simply trying to get comfortable, I want our space to feel approachable and free of judgment while still grounded in trust and professionalism. I’m interested in the full picture of your experience, which includes thoughts, emotions, small moments, and even the things that feel difficult to put into words. While therapy can involve hard conversations, I also believe healing can include humor, curiosity, and moments of connection along the way.

Early sessions are centered around learning more about who you are, what you’ve been through, and what led you to seek support at this point in your life. Together, we’ll identify goals that feel important and meaningful to you, creating a flexible roadmap that helps guide the direction of our work. At the same time, I understand that people grow and change, so therapy isn’t meant to follow a strict script or checklist. I’ll check in to make sure our sessions feel helpful, supportive, and aligned with what you need from the process. Throughout our work together, we’ll explore patterns, build on your strengths, and develop insight in ways that encourage growth while honoring your pace and readiness. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling more understood, more connected to yourself, and more confident in your ability to move toward the life you want for yourself.

More about me

Outside of work, I really enjoy slowing down, relaxing, and spending time with the people who matter to me. I love being with friends and family, whether that’s grabbing a meal, hanging out, or just catching up on life. I’m always listening to music, and I particularly enjoy live shows where I can really take it all in. I also love good food, spending time in nature when I can, and making art as a way to unwind and be creative. I put my curiosity to good use, as I love to learn new things, try out new activities or experiences, visit new places, and broaden my horizons.
