ABOUT ME:

Hi! I’m Micaiah, I am currently practicing from the UW Sauganash location as well as offering virtual therapy and I am so glad you’re here! I’m passionate about social justice and exploring how our surrounding environments impact who we are. Together, we’ll look at what’s happening internally while unpacking how external systems shape your personal narrative. We often carry heavy, invisible burdens that hold us back, and I’m here to help you navigate that terrain so you can create real, meaningful change.

Who Am I?

My name is Micaiah Warren and I am a licensed social worker (LSW). I enjoy working with teens, couples, families, and adults. I approach our work with authentic curiosity, warmth, and complete openness. I cannot wait to hear your story to learn what experiences formed your journey and uncover who you are evolving into. Every individual is wonderfully unique with an innate capacity to heal and grow. When life gets heavy, remember that you never have to walk through it by yourself.

How I help

My approach is collaborative — I center your needs and goals while offering steady support as you move through your healing journey. I help clients navigate challenges such as recovering from difficult relationships, managing anxiety and depression, unlearning patterns that no longer serve them, and identifying how systemic influences impact our becoming. I implement modalities including CBT, DBT, and ACT to help with cognitive restructuring, to develop practical tools, and to practice acceptance as a means of making space for future commitments. Not everything works for everyone, it is my commitment to ensure that methods are tailored to your specific needs.

What a session with me is like

Laughter is one of my favorite forms of relief when life gets rough, so expect me to crack a joke here and there for a little comic relief (when appropriate, of course). I want you to show up as your full self and be you without worrying about judgment. Think of me as a secret vault for your thoughts and feelings, or even a diary—just one that talks back. My hope is that your inner work feels natural, but maybe not always effortless. Accountability is an important part of growth, and I’m here to support you through it. With your permission, I like to start each session with a mindfulness exercise and end with a few key takeaways for you to consider and carry with you throughout the week.

What I believe

I believe in exploring not just what’s happening within you, but also how external systems and experiences have influenced your story. Many of us carry more than we realize, and those unseen burdens can sometimes stand in the way of the change we want for ourselves.

A little more about me

I am a big animal lover! I have a dog and a cat who I love as if they are my children. I like to make music, read, and spend time out in nature. I have travelled internationally to places like Spain, Vietnam, Indonesia, Jamaica, and more. I am a big foodie and love to try new restaurants and foods from different cultures.
