Hello! I’m Nick French.

It’s best to think of me as a chameleon: I adjust to you. We will focus on strengths, develop simple coping skills, and set our sights on whatever goals you aspire to. I like to be honest, compassionate, and practical. I also believe strongly in the creative arts as a tool for change. Bring in a song that speaks to you, ask me to role play someone in your life so you can rehearse an interaction, or let’s bring out a blank sheet of paper and translate our words into colorful illustrations.

Are you in the early stages of a relationship and want to be proactive about foreseen challenges? Do you need guidance before cohabitation or marriage? Or maybe your long-term relationship needs to find that spark again? Whatever your challenge, sexual orientation, or attachment style, I’ll guide you with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques and can offer sound communication skills to improve conflict resolution. I provide a compassionate outside perspective for couples from all walks of love.

Families contain multiple personalities, perspectives and passions. This is what makes them so unique and, at the same time, complicated. It’s normal for families to experience disagreements or identity confusion during transitions in the family life cycle. I make family therapy a safe and creative space to improve communication, establish boundaries, increase trust, and uncover strengths. Let’s collaborate!

I also help adults with anxiety, depression, high stress levels, and existential questioning. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) can be inspiring methods for human nature issues like these. I can help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns, develop new perspectives, and find inspiration through adversity.

I listen to podcasts about the universe and hike any mountain I find. I believe protecting our planet is of the upmost importance. I probably spend too much time watching sports, especially basketball. And I figure out the answers to life through reading fiction, writing screenplays, and acting on the stage.
