Hi friends. My name’s Micah.

My name is Micah.  I’m a licensed clinical social worker, a husband, a dad, and a key lime pie enthusiast.  I’m here to be your person and partner with you so that your old pain stops becoming your present pain.

It’s ok to feel all the stuff you’re feeling. You’re not doing life wrong; you’re doing it right. If there’s any secret you’re missing, it’s that doing it right is really hard. Feeling all your feelings is hard, but that’s what they’re there for. Feelings are for feeling. All of them.​

HOW I HELP

In working with me, you’ll learn how to undermine your unworkable coping strategies, practice mindfulness, and improve your distress tolerance. We’ll also devote plenty of time to your attachment issues, unconscious beliefs, and personal traumas.

My top priority is to help you learn healthier behaviors and develop new insight into your deeper selves to experience moments of healing and growth. I believe deeply in the healing power of a strong therapeutic alliance. I strive to create an environment of safety, unconditional positive regard, and acceptance for anyone on my therapy couch. That’s what I was given, and now I’m passing it on to you.

MY STYLE

I practice an eclectic psychotherapy based on person-centered counseling, attachment theory, and third-wave behaviorism. I also like to sprinkle in some yoga-based meditation and laughter therapy. Don’t worry if none of that sounds familiar; I’ll walk you through it all before we dive in.
