Who Am I?

Hello! I am Mandy (she/her) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am passionate about working with adults of all ages and backgrounds in an individual therapy setting. I consider a strong therapeutic relationship to be critical for growth and transformation in therapy.
Throughout our work together, we’ll work to understand your particular goals and challenges and identify patterns that may be holding you back from having meaningful and fulfilling relationships and feeling at peace with yourself.

I love working with:

  • Those struggling with anxiety
  • Depression/mood disorders
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Stress management
  • Relationship issues and boundary-setting
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Identity concerns
  • Low self-esteem
  • Adjustment following a traumatic event
  • Life transitions

Some of my favorite approaches include:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT – think meditation, mindfulness, assertive communication, boundary-setting, etc.), strengths-based. I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to therapy. What works for one person might not work best for you, and that’s okay. You are unique and your therapeutic journey will be catered to fit your needs and strengths. We’ll figure it out together!

HOW I HELP

My goal is to help you know yourself better; alleviate emotional pain or confusion; develop healthier, more effective coping skills; address the root causes of your difficulties; gain a more accurate understanding of your past and what you want for your future; improve your relationships; and become proud of who you are and confident in the decisions you make. I am not here to judge you, I am here to empower you and work alongside you as your advocate, sounding board, loyal support, and healing guide. Even when you don’t believe in yourself, I will believe in you because you matter and you are more resilient than you think. I genuinely care, and I’m here to provide you with the support and practical guidance you need to effectively process and overcome pain. I want to help you recognize and celebrate your personal achievements and growth.

Beliefs section:

  • I believe in meeting you where you are. I also believe that you are stronger than you think!
  • I believe that you are capable of making positive changes, and I am here to help you do so.
  • I believe therapy works best when both you and your therapist are invested in your healing and ready to put in the work.
  • I believe change is possible for everyone.

What it’s like in a session with me

The most important thing to me is that you feel safe, heard, and understood in therapy. My clinical style is warm, collaborative, engaging, and empathic. In our sessions, you may expect laughter, tears, emotional warmth, and transparency. I might gently challenge you to help you see a different perspective, but don’t worry, I will take your cues and let you set the pace. My hope is to make you feel you are able to address your needs and leave with the tools and resources to overcome future concerns. I want to help you find contentment and peace through your strengths, imagination and self-awareness.

More about me

Outside of work, you can find me hanging out with my friends, family, fiance, and/or puppy; on a long walk; solving puzzles (Sudoku, jigsaw, word, etc.); traveling; adding to my Pinterest boards; crafting; spending time outdoors; exercising; binge-watching shows; or working on my green thumb (it’s definitely a work in progress!). My fiance and I recently purchased a house and will be moving in (and getting married!) in the fall. I love animals, dessert, subtle humor, podcasts, and true crime, and I believe sprinkles make everything better!
