GET TO KNOW your therapist

Juliet bond, lcsw

Hello and welcome. My name is Juliet Bond.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, focusing on work with couples, families, individuals, teens, and adults.

My goal is to strengthen existing connections and nurture compassion between individuals in order to foster growth. I am especially dedicated to relationship work, supporting individuals as they confront the challenges inherent in all of their interactions with the people they choose to love, trust or connect with due to work or ongoing attachments.

what i believe

As a therapist, I embrace the following:

  • I believe healing is possible
  • I believe all relationships work best when there is trust–including the therapeutic relationship.
  • I belvieve my role in hearing and holding another person’s pain is sacred.
  • I believe on should be kind whenever possible, and that it’s always possible.

As a daughter, a friend, a wife (of 24 years), and a co-parent of biological and foster children, I know that understanding and honoring the value of interdependence can be the key to a joyful life. Where I find joy personally is with my partner and children, my friends, and when I balance my creative side with my professional interests. I love music and have sung with a couple of bands and at countless weddings and funerals. I am also a published author of four children’s books and one play. Last, I have a deep commitment to my community. I founded and ran my own non-profit, Evanston’s C.O.P.E., helping families in crisis for 7 years. I also launched a fight against our school district’s sexist dress code policies, resulting in a completely new, non gender-biased dress code. The story of this fight is in a new documentary called, Nevertheless.
