I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Butler University and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. My therapeutic approach is built upon a foundational, trusting relationship with clients. I integrate non-directive play therapy, narrative therapy and relational cultural therapy to tailor my approach for each client. I am focused on working with children in crisis and helping them and their families achieve collaborative goals through a safe, growth-fostering relationship.
I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist with a deep passion for working with young children as young as 4 years old. With a special focus on helping children navigate anxiety, emotional expression, depression, and behavioral challenges, who creates a safe and supportive environment where kids can feel heard, understood, and empowered to develop healthy coping skills.
As a therapist, I take an eclectic approach to healing, integrating relational-cultural therapy, play-based interventions, and person-centered therapy to create a supportive and empowering space for my clients. I believe that growth happens in the context of meaningful relationships, and I strive to cultivate a therapeutic alliance built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect.
I help by creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Drawing from relational-cultural therapy, I emphasize the power of connection and shared experiences in healing. I use play-based interventions to encourage creative expression and emotional processing, particularly for children and those who communicate best through action. With a person-centered approach, I ensure that therapy is guided by each client’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.
By blending these approaches, I support individuals in building resilience, deepening relationships, and fostering personal growth in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
I believe that healing is not linear!. My role is to walk alongside my clients, offering support, guidance, and compassion as they navigate their unique healing process. Furthermore, I believe acknowledging our past relationships, experiences, and intersectional identities are integral to creating a safe space to embrace being our authentic selves.
Every session is shaped by the unique needs and comfort level of my client. I prioritize creating a safe and welcoming space where individuals feel respected, heard, and empowered. From the very first session, I focus on meeting clients where they are, honoring their personal boundaries, and moving at a pace that feels right for them.
Sessions may involve talking, creative expression, or play-based techniques, depending on what feels most natural and effective. Whether we are exploring emotions, processing experiences, or building coping strategies, my goal is to create a space where clients feel free to express themselves without judgment. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside each client to support their growth in a way that aligns with their personal needs and goals.
Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in movement, connection, and nature. I’m an avid runner and hockey player, and I love the sense of focus, challenge, and community that comes with both. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for a hike, exploring new trails, or simply soaking in fresh air. At home, I love playing with my cat!
